My photography journey

I first found my passion for photography when I realised taking photos was the first thing I could spend hours doing that didn't feel like hard work, it inspired me and ignited me.

I started my photography journey in high school where I would spend my two senior years studying photography. Which quickly evolved to be spending all my free time and breaks working on my photography. It's safe to say, I was obsessed. One of my greatest early achievements was where one of my images was nominated to go to a regional art exhibition where it would compete against the other regional schools in Western Australia. To my absolute shock, my piece won best over all prize of the entire exhibition. My greatest achievement in life to date at the young at of 17 - in hindsight I wish I never put the camera down.

When I was 21 I started travelling where I picked up the passion again. I worked hard to collect better equipment and focus all my energy on expanding my skills as a photographer. Since then I have had my work broadcasted on Chanel 7 news, I have worked with multiple international companies and been invited to be apart of some very special intimate moments.

I am so grateful for the opportunities I have been apart of and for all the lessons I have learnt along the way in my travels. I learnt valuable lessons of what it was like to find meaning in the world, love for myself and the value of appreciating the relationships with my loved ones. Now as these two things merge into my life - I see the power of what photography can do for the things that really mean the most.

When we are all old, frail and have a body that can no longer sustain new adventures, I like to believe that we continue to live vicariously through our memories. I can already picture it, (no pun intended) I can picture me, sipping a camomile tea in my living room, flicking through all of the beautiful photos of the memories that is my life, my only goal, is to hope you'll be doing the same with my photos.
